Something mineral runs through Idole Aura Perfume from Lancome right from the top, salt, rose and bergamot combining for a bright, faintly briny floral opening. Rose and jasmine deepen the core into a full, classically romantic bouquet. Bourbon vanilla, salt, musk and heliotrope close the foundation warm, sweet and unexpectedly mineral. Salt appearing in both the top and the base is a deliberate bookend, keeping that mineral freshness present through the whole wear rather than fading after the opening. Idole Aura Perfume is a floral citrus Eau de Parfum, suited to daytime elegance. Lancome found a distinctly fresh angle on rose here.
